Clover announced to join Patract Open Platform, planning to support Wasm smart contracts
Recently, the smart contract platform Clover announced to join Patract Open Platform and partnered with Polkadot Wasm contract technology lab — Patract to jointly promote the Wasm contract technology in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Clover supports Ethereum projects and developers to migrate their contracts to Polkadot seamlessly. They can run EVM contracts with minimal changes, and combine the Consensys tool suite to quickly copy DApps and deploy them to Clover.
With the gradual development and improvement of the Wasm contract ecosystem and underlying facilities, Clover is very optimistic about the Wasm contract technology, which is very efficient in terms of speed and efficiency. Based on the rich underlying standard library, the language it supports or expands can omit the translation stage when running on it, so that the smart contract on this chain takes up very few running resources, so that the smart contracts can be run more efficiently on a large scale. Clover believes that the advantage of Wasm contracts will be the innovation of contract technology in the future.
Therefore, Clover develops Wasm smart contracts based on Patract’s Redspot contract development workflow and scaffold to quickly test and debug contracts. At the same time, Clover will also start to integrate Wasm into their smart contract platform to provide DApp developers with a choice of smart contracts. In addition, Clover will use the contract provided by Patract to run the sandbox environment Europa to simulate the interaction with Clover nodes.
